I went to get my eye exam, which was a hassle because at that point I'd just literally started working at my current employer, and couldn't get time off. I was told that normally, the doctor leaves before the store closes. So, I scheduled a Saturday appointment.

I went to my appointment and then was told I had to get a dilation and retinal exam, which I was planning on doing anyway. I had to wait a week, though. I did get my glasses and got my contact lenses after dilation.

Ever since, replacing my contacts has been a chore. I order new ones approximately every three months. I have been wearing contact lenses for approximately 15 years, so I'm pretty good at doing this by now. These contacts will literally tear in half. Sometimes within a WEEK. I'm not rough on them. I take them out nearly every night and care for them like I'm supposed to. I've NEVER used contacts that literally RIP APART in my eyes during the day.

When I order them, my Visionworks never has them in stock. The first time, it took more than a week to get them into the store. The second time, my order just never showed up, even though they said the order was in. That was THREE weeks. They gave me two trial pairs, which was nice, but it still took a week to get the order into the store. Meanwhile, my contact ripped while wearing it.

I don't want to use these contacts ever again. Don't buy the AquaTech brand. They literally rip apart. And they're the ones my Visionworks apparently sells exclusively. They aren't worth $50 a box. My AirOptix ones were so much better.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin

I work at visionworks. We sell air optix all the time.

You can go in (provided it's been within x amount of days .. 60 in my state) and get re-fit into air optix if that's what you think you need. most people have zero problem with the aquatech ones (except for the ones who get the Aquatech 55, those have a higher rate of problems) but it happens occasionally. Just like some don't like Air Optix and some don't like Oasys.

Just tell the doctor you do'nt like them, and you want a refit. If they refuse, call the # to corporate at the bottom of your recipt.
