Just returned from an appointment. The doctor/optician was most disappointing.
Lacked basic interpersonal skills. Never introduced himself, never looked at my medical history, was dressed casually, was chewing gum throughout the examination, provided no explanations of what he was doing, the results, any recommendations or even any small talk.
Handed me a prescription without explanation as to whether it had changed, and did not provide any other advice or indicate any concern other than indicating I should follow up with an MD for a blood pressure check. Hopefully the glasses will work out, but it was still about $300 with eye care insurance.
